Financial Administrator.

The Financial Administrator that joins Click will have the opportunity to make a social impact
whilst gaining exposure to multiple facets of a large and growing business.The Financial
Administrator is responsible for the preparation, development and analysis of financial
information. The Financial Administrator will maintain the accounting system in accordance
with standard operating procedures and internal controls of the organisation.
Responsibilities include cloud based bookkeeping, VAT, reconciliations, budgets, reporting
and financial administration. The Financial Administrator will work closely with the Financial
Accountant to prepare various reports to internal and external stakeholders and ensure
continuous improvement to the financial processes in line with best practices. Together with
the Financial Accountant, the goal is to build capacity in the finance department leveraging
technology and cloud-based solutions to streamline processes for the operational teams and
provide quality and timeous financial information to the leadership team to inform strategic
decision making.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

  • Generate invoices and billing statements
  • Track accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding payments
  • Maintain accurate records of customer transactions
  • Allocate cash transactions between banking platform and accounting system on a daily basis
  • Preparation of s18A certificates
  • Generate Request for Donations when applicable
  • Invoicing to Funders and Schools when required and weekly debtors management
  • Liaise with various departments to obtain financial information for accounting and financial management purposes
  • Banking administration
  • Record and categorise all expenses accurately
  • Verify and post purchase transactions
  • Monitor and reconcile accounts payable
  • Maintain records of vendor contracts and agreements
  • Process purchase orders on a timely basis
  • Manage and close purchase orders on a timely basis
  • Process vendor invoices on a timely basis
  • Process payments according to payment terms
  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations
  • Prepare monthly financial analysis reports for management purposes
  • Prepare monthly management accounts (profit and loss & balance sheet including relevant commentary)
  • Prepare, maintain and reconcile all supporting financial schedules and reconciliation
  • Assisting with audit deliverables during annual external audit
  • Assist Financial Accountant and Financial Manager with quarterly, bi-annual, and annual reporting (budgets, re-forecasts, Exco and Board Reporting, etc)
  • Assist FA and FM with weekly cash flow forecasting
  • Closing out ad hoc requests and open items
  • Assist FA and FM with strategic and other projects
  • Assist FA and FM in process improvement and ensure appropriate documentation is maintained and updated on a regular basis for SOPs and System Descriptions for significant classes of transactions and balances

Qualifications and Work Experience

  • BCom Accounting or similar qualification
  • Minimum 1-2 years accounting experience in a medium to large sized business
  • Xero proficiency is non-negotiable
  • Strong Excel skills required
  • Experience working with project management tools like Asana and communication tools like Slack is beneficial
  • Strong sense of accuracy and efficiency
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Package

  • R18,000 – R22,000 monthly
  • Total Cost to Company (Annual CTC: R216,000 - R264, 000)
